The MixTAAG® technology is a step forward in multiplexing PCR assays. The analysis systems (AS) derived from this technology consist of molecular biology reagents (based on the MixTAAG® technology), an equipment platform and proprietary analysis software. The equipment platform comprises standard Thermal Cycler and electrophoresis equipment.
The AS based on MixTAAG® technology offer numerous advantages over the traditional molecular biology approaches like multiplex PCR approaches and probe-based PCR assays.

The main characteristics of the AS based on the MixTAAG® are:

High multiplexing capacity, it allows screening multiple targets (i.e. over than 10)
  in one single test.
High discrimination ability, it allows distinguishing between highly related targets,
  up to those diverging in only one base pair.
Cost-effective, it allows high-throughput detection of multiple targets thus reducing
  the assay costs.
Semi-quantitative, it achieves equivalent amplification efficiency among each target,
  making this methodology a semi-quantitative approach.
